Training
BORC provides training for new users on how to operate our instruments and guidance on available services. New users have the option to complete online self-training modules to become familiar with our instrument and services. Additionally, all new users are required to schedule in-person, on-site training sessions with our staff (Umidjon Iskandarov uiskandarov2@unl.edu, or Shuying Zhang, szhang33@unl.edu) prior to utilizing any instruments.
Instrument reservation and service requests
The management of BORC services, instrument reservations, and service requests is streamlined through our online system, iLAB. New users should register an account on iLAB and complete instrument- and service-related training before accessing BORC's instruments and services. You can refer to "How to Sign Up iLAB and Reserve Instruments" for step-by-step instructions on registering accounts and reserving instruments and services.
Working at BORC lab
All users are required to wear proper PPE while working in the BORC lab. In the event of any difficulties or issues encountered during instrument operation, please promptly notify BORC staff and the director. We welcome your feedback, concerns, suggestions, and comments through online feedback forms and surveys.
Lab hours
The BORC laboratory is accessible Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trained users can also request access to the BORC facility outside these hours and on weekends by contacting the BORC director, Jingjie Hao (jingjie.hao@unl.edu), with their NUID.
Billing
